Another view! Posted by Hello

Look at the yummy yarns that have been spun this week!!!! Don't you just love them? I can't wait to knit SOMETHING with this!!!! Posted by Hello

This is as far as I've gotten on the snowdrop shawl. Only about 5 more inches before I start the edge!!! Yeah!!! Posted by Hello

What a week so far. My very good friend just got out of the hospital from having her colon removed. I am very worried about her, her incision split open, and she is a widow with no one to care for her. I think I'll have to check her out a couple times a day. Anyway, I'm just glad that she's home.
I've been spinning alot this week, (will post just finished stuff). We had group yesterday, and no one showed! Bummer!! But usually in the summer that's what happens because everyone is gone for the summer. But, we're not going to be daunted. Anyway, I'm still spinning!!!! Happy spinning week to everyone.

Tuesday I "threw" a pool party for the kids. I had 15 teenagers here!! Then 12 spent the night!! Well, now I'm paying for it. I have had a borderline migraine for the last two days. So, no post. But when I can see straight, I'll be back!!! Haven't even had a chance to spin, can you believe that? I don't want to mess around with what I've got on the bobbin right now though, it's for the Feather and Fan shawl, and it has to be perfect. Posting soon....

Not a great picture, but you get the idea. This is the snowdrop shawl. I finally stopped spinning long enough to do some more. I'll probably knit for the rest of the evening. What a wonderful end to a wonderful day! Posted by Hello

Here is the first 302 yds. of singles for the Feather and Fand shawl. Twist set, isn't the color pretty? Just about 1500 more yrds to go. Posted by Hello

My spinning teacher thought that since I was a beginner that she would enter some of my first handspun into the contest for novices at the Greencastle Fiber Arts Festival in Indiana. I was delighted to find out that I placed third with this 2-ply, kool-aid dyed cotswold. I was so shocked!!! But happy. This has prompted me to keep on spinning happily! This is now my 9th month, and I think I'll be spinning forever. Posted by Hello

Here's George posing with the kool-aid dyed cotswold wool. Isn't he cute? (he's the 3rd child) Posted by Hello

This is Cormo/blend, I love this color is forest, and it's from Paradise Fibers. This is about 2 days of spinning, and worth every minute!! Posted by Hello

Merino/blend on the wheel!! It's like silk. I'm needing to spin about 2000 yds. for the Feather and Fan Shawl in GOL. Posted by Hello
