And here is the second sock to the Falling Leaves first one. About half way down the leg! I could just knit and knit with this vibrant yarn! Later...... :-) Posted by Picasa

This is the back to a Berroco top pattern for summer knitting! It's in the Suede yarn from Berroco! Working on the front. It's a very simple pattern, which is what I need right now because I am having so many things going on that I'm not having much time to knit or spin or anything very much, so these simple projects still make me feel good! Posted by Picasa

In the meantime, on the way to my knitting class the other day, I picked up this gorgeous cotton/nylon blend at Erica's Craft store! Thinking of making one of these cute summer tops from this too, I cast on a little sample as you can see in the background! Posted by Picasa

And I am definitely making this one! You bet ya! It is just tooo cute!  Posted by Picasa

This spring/summer Vogue knitting mag is sooo fab! Don't you just love this top? I do, color and all, thinking about making this one... Posted by Picasa

This is just a bit further on the shawl. I've been working on finishing up the sock and starting the new one... But, alas, I will not stop the shawllllllll! Posted by Picasa

And the full view of the completed sock! Gorgeous colors huh? Posted by Picasa

This is a full view of the entire sock, if you can see the sides, the bottom of the foot stripes nicely... Posted by Picasa

A closeup of the finished toe of the first Falling Leaves sock! I LOVE this pattern that is in the Fall Interweave Knits mag. The yarn is from Knit Picks and is a 100% merino. It is very soft and knits up with cool stripes, (even with this pattern).... this was a variation of a toe decrease, and was very interesting to do. Posted by Picasa

I started the Pacific Northwest Shawl again in my handspun merino/tencel blend yarn! I've finished spinning it all, and knitting with it is wonderful! I think it looks pretty good so far. And the color sequence in this yarn is pretty interesting. I'm really excited to see how it turns out.... post more later, (I'm still working on my other sock too!) Posted by Picasa

And draped over the chair. The yarn is from Knit Picks and it is from the Gossamer line. 100% merino. It knit up beautifully on a size 4 needle. The edge was put on after the body of the shawl was knit using a double pointed needle and lots of patience! Of course, it didn't take as long as the Tina Shawls edge! Yikes that was like 1000+ stitches it seemed!  Posted by Picasa

Here is the front portion of the shawl... Posted by Picasa

It is really hard to show the beauty of this shawl properly! Besides, it's really dark in my house! But here are a couple of pics anyway.... Posted by Picasa

I ordered this merino sock yarn from KnitPicks in Morning Glory! I think these colors are so springy! And I'm making them in the same pattern from the Fall Interweave Knitting edition. I love that pattern. It's so easy! And for some reason, I really like knitting things in lace patterns in the summer! This sock I started this morning, and I'm almost ready to start the heel... socks that I can knit that have a pattern are fun, socks that don't, aren't! :)  Posted by Picasa

This is a lacy poncho that I made! It's for those cool places that you sometimes visit and wish you had brought a sweater. I have to finish just a little of the fringe, and it's ready to go! I'll think I'll wear it Sunday :) It's GGH cotton! Posted by Picasa

I'm almost done spinning the merino/tencel blend that I got from Mielke's Fiber Studio! I love this stuff! This color of soo rich, and the sheen is fabulous! I'm spinning this in a single lace weight because I'm going to be making something very lacy from it! I've only got about 6 more ounces left to spin.... :) Posted by Picasa

Getting Moving Again!
That's what I'm trying to do! It's hard because I've had classes, and things and things to do! The kids were out this week for spring break (which kept me super busy), so finally able to post! But not much going on other than that! Happy spinning and knitting.

And here is a summer top that I cast on yesterday in "Suede" from Berroco (and the pattern) that I decided to make. Couldn't resist it's just too cute! Posted by Picasa

This is a merino and tencel blend that I've been spinning to make something lacy! I adore these colors :) Posted by Picasa

I knit this sock this past week, and am getting ready to finish the toe and start another one. It's for our Knitting Brunch group at our local shop in Lakeville called Knitting in the Round! :) Pretty colors huh? Posted by Picasa
