I didn't make that much progress on the vest today. I was spinning for about 5 hours. I had the Joy a'smokin.... The festival is this upcoming weekend, and so I've got some things to finish at the last minute. But I did another section, so I'm hoping that by this weekend I'll be ready to start the steeks for the underarm and neck! We'll see, you never know what's going to happen around here!

Wow absolutely gorgeous. I'm new to your blog. One of my goals in my spinning is to spin and knit a fair isle. Hopefully I'll get started on the spinning aspect sometime in September. Until them I'm working on som eyarn for a shawl for my mother-in-law.
Thank you ladies very much for the compliments. I don't know about being ambitious, I just love to spin. And since I've been spinning, I just want to knit with the handspun yarn. It almost kills me to buy yarn anymore. Plus I have 3 wheels, and can spin fairly fast, so it just kind of makes sense for me to spin my yarns that I use anymore.
I am always amazed at how quickly you work these complicated patterns up -- it takes me two weeks just for one sock!
