Oh, what's this you say? Yes, it's the sweater neck opening! The steek stitches have been sewn and I cut that sucker open down the front!. Now I am going to cut the side steeks for the sleeves and start knitting those from the top down. Until later..... :) 

This hat is a swatch cap also from Charlotte Wolfe's yarn that she had processed at Woolyknob Fiber Mill, and made into yarn. This yarn is a blend of cotswold, alpaca, and romney? I believe. It knit up about 4.5 sts - 1" on a size 8 needles. Only took 2 hours to make. Nice quick project! Give Charlotte a call if you would be interested in her yarn. There is this rag natural white and brown, dark brown, and dark charcoal gray. Email me if you would like her number. 

This is a romney and mohair mix that I knit for Luke! He loves beenies also! And this one is very warm. Fits right over his little head! I like hat projects because they are fast. Plus, this lets me get a glimpse of the handspun and how it will turn out. 

I decided to knit a couple of hats with some of my handspun yarn for the boys! Here's my hubby's fav. He wore it all last week when he was sick! He feels wearing a hat helps his fever to go down! Hum, don't know about that one, but whatever, at least he likes it! 

Yes! I'm still here! I have been so busy lately with doctors appts. etc. that I feel I've hardly had any time to do anything! NO knitting, or hardly any spinning! But alas, there is one more appt. left on Friday, and then it's freedom from doctors for a couple of months! I am at the neck of this sweater, and getting ready to cut it open at the front and the sides for the sleeves. Will probably pick up and knit the sleeves down! This sweater is a blend of alpaca/shetland(cream), llama(brown), and icelandic/shetland(dark brown)! Happy knitting and spinning everyone! And thank you to everyone for the well wishes with the health issues I've been facing! I really, really appreciate knowing that people are out there that know and understand what I've been going through! Makes me want to keep my chin up and keep on movin.... :) 

Here are the greys!!!!!! The 1st and the last 3 are romney! The other two lighter looking greys are shetland/icelandic blend! It has been sooo much fun spinning this stuff rather medium bulky! Thinking that a nice vest might be in order here! 

This yummy, creamy, natural columbia is heavenly to spin! It is a medium length fiber! But I love it! Don't know exactly what I'm going to do with it yet, besides just admire it :) (ha, ha, ha) 

Look at this beautiful romney/corriedale x yarn! I spun this up today! I couldn't help myself! I love natural colors, especially browns... I have about 16 oz. more of this to spin! Yeah! 

WHAT IN THE WORLD IS GOING ON?
Well, I've been at the doctors office last week four days out of 5! I had to get some tests. Why? Well, the pain clinic doctor thinks that I have fibromyalgia. Which is just great! I feel like I have degenerative arthritis! So, that's where I've been. And it's been kind of a bummer because I haven't been feeling like knitting or spinning either. I have been forcing myself to do both. Actually, that's part of the reason I put down the fair isle. I don't like to knit something that I'm not inspired to knit or spin! But my doctor told me to keep spinning, and try to do it every day! Which I thought, Hey, that's no problem. Except, my knees feel like they are going to explode! So, I start knitting, and them my elbows start to lock up! This fibromyalgia sucks! It is not fun at all. Especially for someone like me, whose very daily existence depends on the needles and the wheel! So, I got a humongous tube of Bengay, and rub everything down, and then I get to business! Happy knittin and spinnin to you all..... :)

This is the sweater that I'm making from all of these colors. Just a quick yoke pullover with stripes. This will be cute, but fast and use up the old fiber.  

These are the other colors that I've been spinning up the last week to make a sweater very quickly. Gotta get back to the fair isle.... :) 

This is what it looks like, I'm spinning it kind of medium bulky. Faster to knit with and spin :) 

I went into my closet and looked in my fiber bag, and this is what I saw! Along with about 5 other balls of fiber that were starting to look a little ratty! So I quickly took them out and began spinning... and knitting of course! This is llama, I love the color, but it's full of junk, which is slowing me down spinning it... oh well, maybe that's why I waited so long, you think? 

And I was finally able to do some knitting yesterday on the new cardigan. That's what happens when you have things to do other than knit or spin (family), you get absolutely nothing done! So, now it's back to my knitting and spinning frenzy for this sweater! :) 

I've been doing alot of spinning since my family left! I have to catch up with the handspun for the fair isle! This is the targhee! I love spinning this stuff because it is soooo soft! It feels softer than merino! Is that possible? 

My son George with Isaiah, who is only 2! He thinks that he is about 5 or 6 though! (Roman's big brother) George is my middle son! He's 12! 

Grandma with Roman and Isabelle! The two youngest babies of the bunch. This is one of the reasons I haven't posted in so long! My sister-in-law and the kids (4) came to visit over the holiday break! Aren't they just precious? And look how much they look alike! Isabelle is older than Roman by about 4 months, but he outweights her by about 7 lbs.! :)
